A Demonstration of Lenz’s Law of Magnetics

A magnet, when dropped through a conducting copper pipe, will fall towards the earth at a decreased rate of speed. The falling magnet induces a current in the copper pipe, creating a magnetic field which opposes the changing field of the falling magnet.
